The elastic wave attenuation in artificial composites, known as phononic crystals (PnCs), is an important topic the context of manipulation. However, there a lack knowledge obtainment PnCs when viscoelastic effect different polymers considered. In this study, complex band structure longitudinal waves 1-D PnC (VPnC) rods composed by steel inclusions (elastic material) polymeric matrix (viscoelastic investigated. modelled standard linear solid model (SLSM), which can be used to closely behavior for practical applications.
